Los Angeles-based pop artist MARIS will perform at The State Theatre on April 25 as part of her “MARIS Goes To College” national tour.
The performance follows the release of her latest single, “Missing Me,” a collaboration with producer Jeremy Hatcher, known for his work with Harry Styles. The stop in State College is one of 17 dates on a spring run that sees the singer-songwriter performing in several prominent university towns across the country.
MARIS has quickly ascended in the indie-pop scene, with her recent track “Body Is On Fire” gaining nearly 1 million streams. Rolling Stone recently named her music among its “Songs You Need To Know,” while the Los Angeles Timesprofiled her for her reputation for “bombastic” and interactive live performances.
“At my show, you’re gonna jump. You’re gonna dance. You’re gonna be involved, whether or not you want to,” MARIS told the Times.
The State College show marks a return to the region for the artist, who has spent the last year opening for major stadium and club acts, including Ed Sheeran and The Wrecks. Her 2025 collaboration with Caroline Kingsbury, “Give Me A Sign,” was noted by Spotify as one of the best pop songs of the year.
Tickets for the April 25 show at The State Theatre are currently on sale. Doors are expected to open at 7 p.m. for the all-ages event.
